Kuwait’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is introducing digital capabilities to accelerate academic qualification checks and improve access to certificate-issuing institutions worldwide.
Kuwait’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has signed a cooperation agreement with DataFlow Group to modernise the verification of academic qualifications and documents.
The initiative will use Primary Source Verification to check credentials directly with their original issuing institutions, with the aim of improving the accuracy of verification and reducing the time required to process applications.
The Ministry also plans to introduce digital solutions across its verification processes and expand access to certificate-issuing institutions internationally.
H.E. Dr. Nader Abdullah Al-Jalal, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, said the agreement would help the Ministry navigate the variety of education systems and academic institutions worldwide while improving the reliability of decisions concerning academic qualifications.
The Ministry expects the technology to strengthen evidence-based decision-making and increase the flexibility of its credential verification processes.
Dr. Badr Al-Busairi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, said the agreement would directly improve services by shortening turnaround times for academic certificate verification and improving the mechanisms used to track applications.
The Ministry will also use the agreement to develop its operating environment and improve integration between the technical and administrative elements of credential verification.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Al-Busairi and Sanjeev Agrawal, Chief Operating Officer, DataFlow Group.
