The University of Notre Dame has appointed Tracy Weber as Vice President and Chief Information Officer following a national search.
Weber will lead the University’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) and play a key role in delivering the institution’s long-term technology strategy Notre Dame 2033: A Strategic Framework.
She succeeds Jane Livingston and brings more than two decades of experience at Notre Dame, having held leadership positions across applications development, enterprise content management, platform services, collaborative IT services and community IT experience.
During her career at the University, Weber led the institution’s IT response to the COVID pandemic, contributed to its 10-year strategic planning process, guided its enterprise resource planning system transformation assessment and most recently led the development of Notre Dame’s strategy for responding to the evolving cybersecurity threat landscape.
Weber said: “The opportunity to lead Information Technology at Notre Dame, the place that shaped me as an undergraduate, where I’ve built my career and where I will continue to work with exceptional people, is a tremendous honour.
“As we navigate rapid technology transformation, we face exciting opportunities that require thoughtful stewardship and strategic decision-making. I am deeply grateful to Jane Livingston for her impactful leadership of OIT over the past five years.”
